There was a solid five-year run where 98% of my Christmas list was Skateboards, Skate shoes, Skate clothes, Skate videos, and Skate music. So Bad Religion gets the call to put some oomph back on the list.
Also, “Hark, Hark, Harkened He” is to this day one of my favorite deep-cut, deeper laugh, line from masters Ren & Stimpy. Again, if you know, you know.
So have fun with song 23 on the list.
We Wish You a Merry Christmas (Weezer Version)
Weezer’s Blue Album was so much a part of summer after senior year that when I hear it now I can taste Denny’s ranch. An album that is to me 100% about best friends.
Weezer’s cover of Toto’s Africa, while played to death, was a summer favorite of Kate and Chloe. A song that will forever take me back to kiddo karaoke in our living room.
Weezer also performs one of my favorite versions of Rainbow Connection.
