The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
Buddy the Elf
Friday night orchestral interlude.
Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson & Lain Sutherland Orchestra
Song 15 on the list reminds me of Grandma and Grandpa “Bootsie’s” house. “Bootsie” was the name of their dog when Thisdad and his cousin were wee little ones. We swapped out their last names way before Spielberg let us know Dr. Jones (a.k.a. Indiana) adopted the family dog moniker. So many Christmas nights were spent at their house, and I think we played this song at each and every one.
One of the best Christmas Orchestra songs period. The “clippty-clop” percussion and whip are spot on. Feels like I am in a carriage in Tilles Park surround by lights. Great tune
Buddy And Santa’s Flight by John Debney
Keeping with the instrumental theme, thought this uplifting piece needed to be song 16.
I will never forget just how hard Kate laughed at the escalator scene the first time we all watched this movie. The best part is I don’t think she will either.
Thanks for reading.
Have a happy, safe, fun weekend.
See you tomorrow.
